This Kurdish antique rug measures 107 x 483 cm, with a long, elegant proportion and a field drawn in faded blue, cream, rust, and brown. Repeating geometric and floral motifs run through the centre with a measured, hand-worked cadence, while the border carries small angular forms that frame the composition with restraint. The stepped, prayer-rug-like ends add definition at both termini, and the low distress is reflected in softened colour, light wear, and gentle edge character. Circa 1900 - 1915, it holds the settled presence and aged clarity of a well-preserved antique rug.
