The composition centres on repeated floral and tree motifs set within a crisp angular lattice, enclosed by a border of octagonal medallions and smaller geometric panels. Medium distress has softened the contrast and introduced a gentle patina across the surface. Circa 1925 - 1940, it carries the grounded geometry and ornamental cadence associated with Hamadan weaving, with age visible in its faded high points and relaxed, tactile finish.
