A burgundy central medallion sits within pale sage, ivory, muted green, and soft blue surrounds, giving the piece a faded yet grounded presence. The border system is richly worked, with small-scale motifs and vine detail that feel increasingly delicate through age and wear. Circa 1885 - 1900, the medium distress allows the design to read with clarity while retaining a washed, tactile surface shaped by use and time.
