Its allover field is worked with scrolling floral and arabesque motifs, enclosed by a fine floral border that preserves the rug’s broad, orderly composition. Cream, white, soft blue, sage, and muted rust tones have settled into a gently distressed surface with a calm, age-softened character. Circa 1915 - 1940, it feels layered and atmospheric, with the pattern now diffused by time while remaining distinctly legible. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
