This Hamadan antique rug measures 221 x 389 cm and carries a dense, time-softened composition with all-over geometric patterning and a strong, multi-banded border. The wool surface shows an atmospheric balance of faded teal, indigo, terracotta, ivory, rust, and camel, with the central field reading as layered and quietly worn. Floral border notes and small boteh-like forms bring movement to the restrained layout, while age has softened the contrast throughout. Circa 1925 - 1945. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
