This Kurd antique rug measures 107 x 406 cm and carries a long, measured composition softened by age. The navy field is layered with floral medallions, angular vine forms, and repeating geometric accents, all held within rust brown and cream borders that give the piece its clear structure. Wool lends a warm, tactile surface, while the visible central wear and overall fading create a gentle, timeworn mood. Circa 1900 - 1920, the rug balances earthier brown and neutral notes with traces of blue, coral, and cream, resulting in an elegant, weathered expression of traditional weaving.
