This Agra antique rug measures 305 x 351 cm and presents a hushed, textural field in sage, taupe, ivory, blush, rose, plum, and burgundy. A central medallion anchors the composition, then unfurls into floral arabesques and concentric calligraphic bands that drift toward the edges. The wool surface shows gentle fading and a softened, aged patina, which blur the pattern in an elegant way. Circa 1900 - 1930, it captures the layered ornament and atmospheric wear that define the Agra tradition. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
