This Mahal antique rug measures 257 x 381 cm and has the subdued presence of a piece shaped by long use and soft ageing. A faded central medallion anchors the composition, while floral detailing and a narrow border linger across a field washed in cream, brown, muted rust and quiet blue. The wool pile shows high distress, with broad fading and worn passage that leave the surface gently distressed and full of character. Circa 1900 - 1930, it offers a hushed, heritage-rich read of the Mahal tradition. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
