This Kurd antique rug measures 102 x 452 cm and shows a long, narrow composition centred on a dense field of repeating geometric motifs. Burgundy provides the foundation, while blue, cream, white, and gold details animate the borders and diagonal stripe bands with measured contrast. Woven in wool, it has a supple, tactile surface and low distress, with gentle edge character and light tonal softening visible across the field. Circa 1880 - 1900, it offers a restrained yet intricate example of Kurdish weaving, shaped by pattern, rhythm, and age. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
