This Mahal antique rug measures 295 x 401 cm and shows a gently worn surface in faded coral red, pale blue, sage green, and warm neutral tones. Its allover floral composition is airy yet structured, with scrolling motifs and softened blossoms settled within a finely drawn border. The wool pile has an attenuated, velvety look from age, with visible wear and mellow fading that soften the pattern across the field. Circa 1925 - 1945, it carries the quiet character and layered colour typical of an antique rug with lived-in presence.
