This Mahal antique rug measures 312 x 417 cm, with a broad floral field in rust red, teal blue, cream, and brown. The composition is softened by age, allowing palmettes, vine scrolls, and the enclosing floral border to dissolve into a layered, painterly surface. High distress is visible throughout, with pronounced fading and abrasion that lend the rug a quietly weathered character.
