This Ghiordes antique rug measures 109 x 188 cm and presents a restrained yet expressive palette of cream, red, white, muted pink, tan, pale blue and olive. A bold central medallion is framed by floral sprays and narrow border work, giving the composition a poised Ottoman rhythm. The wool surface shows clear age, with softened colour, gentle fading and a comfortably worn hand that deepens its atmosphere. Circa 1885 - 1900, it reads as an antique rug with medium distress, where the original geometry remains legible but gently diffused by time.
