This Kurd antique rug measures 124 x 300 cm and presents a tall, restrained format drawn in wool with a clear tribal hand. An ivory field is worked with stepped geometric motifs, small floral marks, and angular devices, all outlined in indigo, rust, camel, and coral. The layered borders, from black to warm red and blue, create a strong architectural frame around the centre. Circa 1885 - 1900, it retains a gently worn surface with low distress, softened pile, and some edge and fringe character that speaks to age while keeping the drawing legible.
