This Hamadan antique rug measures 104 x 157 cm and presents a compact, highly patterned composition in wool, centred by a diamond medallion and enclosed by layered borders. Its palette of ivory, taupe, brown, rust, muted blue, and charcoal lends depth to the geometric field, where stepped blossoms, angular forms, and small repeating motifs build a balanced surface. The visible wear is moderate, with softened contrast, light fading, and a gently aged character at the edges. Circa 1925 - 1955, it speaks to the enduring structure and ornament of Hamadan weaving.
