This Kurd antique rug measures 183 x 396 cm and shows a long, softly faded field with an allover lattice design, a central diamond medallion, and layered floral borders in red, blue, and muted neutral tones. Woven in wool, the surface has an aged, lived-in quality, with abrasion and colour softening most apparent through the centre and along the length of the piece. Olive green at the ends and a dark outer border add contrast to the weathered ground, keeping the composition grounded and readable. Circa 1925 - 1945, it offers the quiet depth and tactile character expected of an antique rug.
