This Agra antique rug measures 274 x 358 cm and brings together a deep burgundy ground with muted blue, taupe, ivory, and plum accents in a finely layered composition. A prominent central medallion is surrounded by scrolling floral motifs, corner ornaments, and detailed guard borders that give the piece its measured symmetry. Woven in wool, the surface shows visible fading and abrash, softening the pattern and lending it an aged, tactile character. Circa 1925 - 1945, this antique rug reflects medium distress with border wear and a distinguished sense of depth.
