This Agra antique rug measures 183 x 351 cm, with a narrow border framing a tall, composed field of floral arabesques and medallion-like forms. The design is delicate but assured, built from scrolling stems, stylised blossoms, and a layered perimeter that gives the whole piece a poised, architectural rhythm. Soft sage, warm beige, dusty rose, ivory, and muted burgundy create a muted, time-softened palette across the wool surface. Circa 1900 - 1930, it reflects the quietly formal character often associated with Agra weaving, where ornament and restraint sit in fine balance.
