This Ghiordes antique rug measures 371 x 660 cm and is woven in wool with a softly worn, luminous surface. The cream ground is lifted by an allover scatter of floral motifs, framed by tiered borders and a gentle central medallion that remains visible beneath the fade. Notes of ivory, pale beige, muted terracotta, soft rust, and subdued sage create a restrained, heritage-led palette. Circa 1850 - 1870, it offers the grounded character and patina that define a well-kept antique weaving. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
