This Kurd antique rug measures 99 x 536 cm, its extended proportion carrying a series of stacked medallion panels in a measured, graphic cadence. Woven in wool, the palette moves between deep red, cream, neutral and darker ground tones, with floral borders and small geometric accents giving the piece its structure. The surface shows gentle age and softened colour, without losing the clarity of the design. Circa 1925 - 1940, it retains low distress, lightly irregular edges, and the tactile presence expected of a well-kept woven work. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
