Kurd is a long wool runner defined by its muted colour range and careful, measured ornament. A faded blue central field hosts an arabesque floral repeat and small palmettes, softened by low, consistent wear that reveals delicate abrash and tactile surface variation. Ivory guard borders with geometric cartouche detailing frame the composition with restrained contrast, the edges showing modest fray but sound overall character. Circa 1890 - 1905. This antique rug, 109 x 500 cm, has a quietly aged presence that emphasises fibre texture and the considered rhythm of its motifs.
