A Yazd in deep blue and cream, this piece displays a disciplined medallion-adjacent layout and fine scrolling arabesques rendered in wool. The wide, pale border frames floral rosettes, palmettes and boteh motifs with a measured, classical restraint. Surface wear is minimal and the field shows gentle abrash that softens the saturated colour into a patinated, low-sheen ground. Measurements 300 x 564 cm. This antique rug reads as a considered study in tone and pattern, tactile to the eye and reserved in expression. Circa 1950 - 1965. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
