This Agra occupies a restrained, aged colourway across 208 x 300 cm; an antique rug whose wool fibre has settled into a painterly softness. The floral field and faint central medallion are softened by even abrash and surface thinning, while a broad floral border remains legible as a framing device. Medium distress and subtle haloing attest to long use and sympathetic repair, giving the piece a tactile, timeworn presence. The palette of cream, muted pink, brown and green-blue reads as patina rather than damage. Circa 1900 - 1935. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
