This Agra is a high-distress wool rug with a muted, neutral colourway and a quietly worn surface. Measuring 279 x 335 cm, the central field shows a soft, faded medallion and sweeping floral vines that have blended into a gentle tonal ground. A wide floral guard border is still legible beneath even abrash and pile thinning, producing a layered patina and tactile grain. As an antique rug the piece reads as a considered object of heritage, its warm brown and taupe notes softened by time. Circa 1900 - 1925. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
