Narrow internal borders and a serrated guard offer rhythm, while restrained reds and cream highlight the motifs with soft gradations of colour. The piece shows low distress and an even abrash that lends gentle patina rather than heavy wear, preserving scale and clarity across the field. Circa 1885 - 1905. Size 130 x 190 cm.
