A narrow Gharajeh wool runner, sized 79 x 739 cm, composed of repeating geometric medallions on a deep crimson ground with navy and ivory accents. The centre motifs are set against detailed guard borders and punctuated by small star and floral fillers; the palette includes warm rust and muted green. Wear is low and even, adding a soft patina and gentle abrash rather than heavy loss. This antique rug reads as a preserved example of village craft, its motifs confident and the surface tactile to the hand. Circa 1900 - 1920.
