A restrained Mahal in wool, 249 x 371 cm, defined by a faded central medallion set within an allover scrolling vine and narrow floral borders. The colourway moves between brown, cream and white with soft abrash and muted rust notes; selective fading and medium surface wear create a low, tactile pile that emphasises the rug's layered pattern. In-house conservation preserves the edges and patina while allowing the aged surface to read as material history. This antique rug presents a measured, heritage-rich presence. Circa 1900 - 1920. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
