A long Kurd in rich red with cream ground motifs, woven in wool fibre and showing a disciplined, repeating boteh lattice across the 173 x 406 cm span. The proportioned field and narrow guards create a steady, allover rhythm; soft abrash and an even, low level of wear give the piece a tempered, domestic patina. Borders retain their floral medallion sequence with minimal edge loss and short, intact fringe. This antique rug reads as a practiced expression of regional weaving, tactile in pile and quiet in colour. Circa 1880 - 1895
