A Mahal runner on an indigo ground, 109 x 343 cm, composed of repeating lozenge medallions aligned along a central axis. Blue, cream and neutral tones define stylised floral motifs and small geometric fillers, all framed by a narrow ivory guard border. The wool fibre shows low, even wear that softens outlines and introduces gentle abrash across the field, creating a quietly collected surface. Read as an antique rug with disciplined geometry and a tactile hand, the piece retains clarity of motif and a time-worn character. Circa 1900 - 1915
