An Agra of generous scale, this antique rug measures 450 x 569 cm and presents a softened ivory ground patterned with a dense, allover floral vine. Muted pink and red motifs punctuate the neutral field, framed by a narrow floral border whose outlines have gently blurred with time. The wool fibre shows medium distress, even abrash and areas of low pile that reveal a quiet, tactile surface. Wear is measured and sympathetic, preserving the composition while suggesting long use. The presence is serene and heritage-aware, an Agra balanced between pattern and patina. Circa 1885 - 1900
