This Heriz runner presents a linear sequence of octagonal medallions set on a warm red field, the navy and ivory centres enlivened by compact floral rosettes and stepped geometric fills. A series of narrow guard borders in cream and brown provides a measured frame to the composition, while low wear preserves the clarity of motifs and a softly abrased pile. The wool fibre conveys a tactile, heritage feel without ostentation. Circa 1900 - 1915. This antique rug, sized 114 x 386 cm, reads as a disciplined study in proportion, colour and timeworn craftsmanship.
