A long Heriz wool runner presented in a muted palette of brown, rust and gold, measured at 86 x 538 cm. The composition pairs angular palmettes and medallion fragments across a greyed field that has acquired a soft, patinated surface through medium distress and visible abrash. Narrow guard borders of geometric rosettes give the piece structural order while wear has browned and mellowed the original colours. The overall effect is tactile and heritage-aware, a quietly worked antique rug that expresses the material grace of Heriz weaving traditions. Circa 1915 - 1930
