An Agra in wool, 135 x 183 cm, organised around a vertical chain of geometric floral devices and bounded by multiple stepped and floral border bands. The colourway of neutral, blue, white and cream reads restrained and textural; visible abrash and surface abrasion give the piece a soft, aged patina while key motif outlines retain definition. This antique rug carries a measured architecture and sense of craft that speaks to its history and wear. Circa 1885 - 1900. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time. Subtle tonal variation keeps the drawing legible and grounded.
