This Heriz wool runner, 61 x 274 cm, is a compact example of bold, traditional patterning in a softened palette. A deep red field hosts pink and sky-blue palmettes with cream and beige highlights, articulated as a central running chain and framed by narrow blue guard borders. The piece shows low wear with gentle abrash and discreet fading towards the ends, the fibre retaining an inviting, slightly sheared surface. The overall effect is tactile and composed, an antique rug that balances graphic geometry with a mellow, time-earned patina. Circa 1900 - 1915.
