This Agra in wool is an antique rug with a tightly organised field of repeating guls and star medallions, the brown ground mellowed to gold and neutral notes. A narrow guard and wider floral-tree border enclose the central repeat, the pattern softened by even fading and abrash. Surface wear and small, discreet repairs contribute to an aged, tactile character; the pile shows medium distress yet the composition remains remarkably coherent. The rug measures 274 x 366 cm and reads as a considered, heritage piece with a quiet presence. Circa 1920 - 1935.
