This Agra reads as a quietly monumental antique rug, 762 x 897 cm, with a warm red field centred by a pronounced navy medallion and flowing floral arabesques. Neutral and brown tones modulate the ground and borders, producing subtle abrash and layered tonal depth. Borders remain crisply rendered and overall distress is low, the surface showing a soft, even patina from careful preservation. The scale of the design and restrained wear allow the wool fibre's natural lustre to register across field and border, offering a tactile sense of age and craft. Circa 1900 - 1915
