A restrained Yazd woven in wool, the 470 x 556 cm field arranged in repeating octagonal medallions and a fine floral vine lattice. Ivory, pale blue and greyed teal motifs sit against a softened navy ground, the composition held by layered floral guard borders and cartouches. Wear is even, with areas of faded colour and gentle abrash that reveal the rug’s age and hand. The surface retains a tactile, low-profile pile and a calm, heritage vocabulary. This antique rug reads as an elegant study in scale and restraint. Circa 1925 - 1940
