An Agra in wool with a soft, neutral colourway; this antique rug measures 330 x 475 cm and carries an even, time-worn presence. The field holds a repeated rosette and palmette lattice softened by high distress, while a series of ornate guard borders frames the composition with elegant restraint. Abrash and areas of thinning reveal layered tones of cream and pale neutral, and scattered sympathetic repairs contribute to the overall patina. The surface is tactile and subdued, the original pattern softened into an atmospheric wash of warmth and texture. Circa 1900 - 1950.
