An understated Mahal Ziegler woven in wool, measuring 297 x 427 cm, this antique rug shows an all-over lattice of geometric medallions, stylised palmettes and compact rosette fillers. The colour range pairs warm rust and ivory with soft turquoise and faded sky-blue tones, set against a deep navy guard border. Low visible distress retains a supple, tactile pile and a tempered patina; gentle abrash and even wear articulate the rug's age while preserving pattern clarity. Narrow guard borders reinforce the rug's mosaic-like geometry and heritage-aware presence. Circa 1895 - 1915
