The field sits between neutral and brown tones with accents of red along the borders; motifs have a mellow, antique temperament and the surface shows consistent medium distress that reveals layered colour. Circa 1895 - 1910. Measurements: 274 x 366 cm. This antique rug retains a considered, tactile character. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
