This Agra presents a restrained medallion lattice in wool, a study in soft colour and botanical ornament that has mellowed with time. The neutral and brown palette reads as layered patina, with the field’s repeating floral motifs set within a defined foliate border. Evidence of medium wear and gentle abrash gives the surface a tactile, worn character while the borders retain their architectural rhythm. This antique rug measures 406 x 457 cm and feels quietly composed, its craft and age clearly legible in hand and sight. Circa 1885 - 1900.
