An Agra woven in wool with a pale, near-neutral field where faded terracotta and muted rose surface through an ivory ground. The composition is an all-over floral lattice of rosettes and scrolling palmettes, contained by a refined foliate border. Wear is medium with softened contrasts and visible abrash, giving the piece a gentle, tactile patina and relaxed line. The overall effect is quietly textural, an antique rug that reads as much by hand and time as by design. Circa 1910 - 1925. Size: 264 x 340 cm. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
